What is a crop you might ask? Like many trends, the US has fallen behind with this one. We are so used to these greaser-slick or messy hairstyles that we hardly ever see someone walking around with a crop.

The modern crop seems to originate in Europe and the UK. Hairdressers there have combined texture with a solid outline and a clean fade. This haircut brings all the hair on top towards the face, which then becomes “cropped” at the forehead. You might imagine that it’ll look very boxy, but when it’s paired with soft texture on top, it complements the face structure extremely well! We not only need to bring this style to America to keep up with the trends but clients will love the little effort it takes to style this look.
